Wise Water Management

Winterhaven has been classified as a small water company for the last 56 years. This means that we are required to by law to pump no more than 250 acre feet of water per year.  In the past few years, we have gone over that limit, and we risk being classified as a large water company. This could lead to increased regulations and costs. Last year the board began conducting Using Water Wisely classes to educate all of us about conserving water while at the same time maintaining our beautiful green appearance that make our neighborhood unique.  The classes were well attended and the feedback has been that Winterhaven residents are interested in learning more about responsible water use. We had our first water class of the year on March 18th and will be scheduling more classes throughout the year.
