Community Trees

This tree location map was created by the Winterhaven Trees ad-hoc committee on March 31, 2006 in order to establish the authenticity of specific trees in the Winterhaven neighborhood which may be deemed "Community Trees" and be treated to all care, maintenance and special event inclusion as noted in Article IV, section 4 of the Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions of Winterhaven Water & Development Co., Inc.

Based on Historical data, visual confirmationof tree location and species consistent with those originally planted in/around 1949, as well as holiday event decorating records the following criteria was used:
- Tree must be evergreen species (coniferous)
- Trees originally planted in/around 1949 include: Aleppo Pine, Arbovitae, Italian Cypress, Arizona Cypress
- Tree must be located within 10' right-of way from curb, and are usually planted along property line between residences
- Tree should have a history of being decorated with Association lights during the annual "Festival of Lights" event.
